The small version of the 3D-printed interior decals for the F-4E in the early form with a slatted wing, 1:48 scale. Cut for the Meng kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The small variant of the color decal with three-dimensional relief on decal paper. Against the full set it has a smaller extent, but the working principle is the same: the decal is applied with water and its raised surface gives the instruments a shadow. With water it ends, though, as a decal softener would attack the printed resin, so leave it out. The set matches the early form of the F-4E with leading-edge slats on the wing and is cut for the Meng kit.
The manufacturer makes both versions side by side and they differ in extent. The small version makes sense when you reckon on the cockpit canopies being closed, or on the model standing in a display case facing the viewer; into a closed cockpit even the best-made detail cannot be seen. The full set is worth it on a model with the cockpits open and on a competition build.
The F-4E is a two-seat jet fighter with the crew in tandem. During production and in later modifications both the wing and the equipment of the two cockpits changed, which is why interior sets are distinguished by form. The set aims at the early machines with slats added to the leading edge of the wing.
