3D-printed color interior decals for the F-4E in the late form without the DMAS system, supplemented with printed resin parts. 1:48 scale, cut for the Meng kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extended variant of the interior set: to the color decals with three-dimensional relief are added 3D-printed resin parts. The decals take care of the faces of the instrument panels and the side consoles, while the printed parts add the three-dimensional detail that a flat decal cannot manage by its very nature. The set aims at the late form of the aircraft without digital modular avionics and is cut for the Meng kit.
First separate the printed parts carefully from the print supports with a sharp blade or a cutting disc; never break them off. Sand the cuts with fine paper and wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap, so that no print resin residue is left on the surface, under which paint will not hold. They are glued with super glue, not with cement for plastic, which has no effect on resin. Apply it in tiny drops with a toothpick, because super glue wicks and leaves a white haze on a colored surface.
First paint the plastic parts and go over them with gloss varnish, then apply the decals and let them dry thoroughly. Only then comes the matte varnish and the fitting of the printed parts, so that no paint settles on them during varnishing. Leave the fine brush touches right to the end.
