This item is not a kit but an accessory for a model. It is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the North American F-86D in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. The templates are stuck onto the clear parts, bound the cockpit frames, and after spraying a sharp edge is left between the frame and the transparent area.
This set is the basic form, which masks the outer face of the glazing. For the same aircraft Eduard also offers a variant designated TFace, which adds masks for the inner face of the clear parts as well, so that the frames can be painted from within in a different color. The two variants differ precisely in this, not in the range of shapes masked from the outside.
The F-86D was an all-weather interceptor derived from the F-86 Sabre. It differed from the day version at a glance: it had a radar in a characteristic radome above the engine air intake and a differently shaped canopy. It is precisely the different canopy that is the reason why masks for the day Sabre do not fit this version.
The package holds masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included.
