Responsibility details are not available.
The Brewster F2A Buffalo is an American single-seat carrier fighter with a radial engine and retractable landing gear. You will recognize it by the short barrel-shaped fuselage you will not find on any other fighter of the period, and by its generally stubby shapes. The F2A-2 is the second production rendition for the US Navy; the qualifier US version in the name sets these machines apart from the aircraft delivered abroad.
The set brings metal photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale from Eduard's production. The thin metal makes it possible to produce elements for which a plastic part is always too coarse, and the finished model thereby gains scale-correct edges and fine relief. Which kit the set is designed for, and exactly where the individual parts belong, is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work over a light-colored base and with tweezers with fine jaws; a photo-etched part is light and easily springs away. Separate the parts by cutting through the tab with a sharp blade, and make the bends along the etched grooves, which themselves determine where the metal is to fold. First sand off the plastic parts that the etch replaces and level the surface so that the new part sits down. It is bonded with cyanoacrylate glue, which you should apply in a minute quantity. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer for metal; without it the paint rubs off during handling.
The package contains a photo-etched fret. The kit, the paints, the glue and the decals are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
