A colored cockpit detail set, not an aircraft kit. The parts are 3D printed, fully colored and supplied on decal paper: the instrument panel, the side consoles, the levers and the switches with fine relief. The set is intended for late Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat models in 1:48 scale.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was an American carrier-borne fighter of the early Second World War. The F4F-3 version was among the early forms with fixed wings and became one of the main machines of the US Navy in the first years of the war in the Pacific. The tight single-seat cockpit with its period instruments makes an interior set a rewarding accessory.
The parts release in water like a decal, but once off the paper they behave more like pre-colored flexible details. They are applied to cleaned cockpit surfaces, and small elements can be secured with a drop of cyanoacrylate. Tweezers and a dry test of the placement pay off.
This is a detail set, not a complete model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
