Eduard F4F-3 TFace (1:48), a masking set

Precisely cut self-adhesive masks in kabuki material for models of the F4F-3 Wildcat fighter in 1:48 scale. This is not a kit but an accessory for spraying the frames of the glazing and other areas cleanly. The TFace (Two Face) designation means that the set holds masks for the cockpit canopy from the outer as well as the inner side, which lets you paint the framing from inside and outside, so the interior of the canopy gets the right shade. Masks for the wheels, that is the tires, are usually included too, so the hubs can be sprayed without paint running onto the rubber.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully off the sheet with pointed tweezers and seat them exactly on the frames of the glazing
• Press the edges down carefully, so that no paint creeps under them
• Spray with an airbrush; with TFace the inner side first (the interior color), and the outer side once it has dried
• Lift the masks off shortly after the paint has dried, while the film has not yet gone brittle

For modelers building the Wildcat in 1:48 scale who want sharp, even framing on the cockpit without slow masking with tape. It suits beginners as well, if they want to avoid cutting masks by hand.

This is an accessory to a plastic kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
