It is not a kit of an airplane; it is a package in which you get several upgrade sets together for one kit. The suffix in the name refers to the variant with a telescopic gunsight, that is, to the early form of the F4F-3, which the arrangement of the gunsight in the cockpit distinguishes from later machines. That is exactly why it matters to choose the package that matches the version you are building.
The Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat was a carrier fighter of the US Navy with a Pratt and Whitney radial engine and fixed, non-folding wings. It entered the front line even before the United States entered the war and in the first year of fighting in the Pacific it carried the main weight of the fighter tasks. Against more agile opponents it kept the upper hand through the toughness of its structure, heavy fire from its half-inch machine guns and the tactic of mutual cover in pairs. Early machines still had a telescopic gunsight, which a reflector sight later replaced.
The package brings together parts from different technologies, so first sort them by material. Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water so that the remains of mold release agent disappear, and cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, never breaking them off. Separate the photo-etched parts with a scalpel and bend them in a photo-etch bending tool. Bond everything, metal and non-metal alike, with super glue. Get into the cockpit before you close it up with the fuselage, as once the halves are glued you will not reach inside. Do the sanding of resin wet and with your airways protected.
The bundle is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
