1:48 F4U-1D Corsair is an Eduard photo-etched set from the Zoom line for a model of the American carrier fighter Vought F4U-1D Corsair in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory for one.

Zoom is a smaller photo-etched set from the Czech company Eduard aimed mainly at the cockpit. The parts are printed in color, so they do not have to be painted over, and they form a selected subset of the full photo-etched set that Eduard offers for the same type under a practically identical name. This is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory for a plastic model of the Corsair in 1:48 scale. Anyone who also wants parts for the exterior of the airframe and the landing gear should reach for the more extensive full photo-etched set.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter with a powerful radial engine and a characteristic inverted gull wing, which made it possible to use a large propeller while keeping the landing gear short. The F4U-1D version was among the later forms of the first production series and was also adapted for attacks on ground targets, that is for carrying stores under the wing. On a model in 1:48 scale the cockpit, with its clearly visible instrument panel and side consoles, is a rewarding target for photo-etched accessories.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, and do not break them out. Make the bends in a bender or between two blades. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue or with a micro glue applied with a pin, as ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on metal. The parts printed in color are not painted over, only fitted. Remove the plastic originals that the photo-etched parts replace and sand the mating surface smooth, so that the part sits straight.
It is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
