Eduard 1:48 F6F gun bay is a set of photo-etched parts for bringing out the gun bays in the wings of the model of the Grumman F6F Hellcat fighter. The model itself is not included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard focused on the open gun bays in the wings of the American Grumman F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The thin metal parts make it possible to show the machine gun bay convincingly, with its internal stiffening, gun mountings and covers, which plastic either lacks or renders coarsely. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for advanced detailing; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat is an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, a key machine of the navy in the fighting over the Pacific. Its armament consisted of a battery of 12.7 mm machine guns housed in the wings, reached through hinged panels. An open machine gun bay is a rewarding detail for a modeler.
Separate the small parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a metal bending tool. They are bonded with super glue or with epoxy. Degrease the metal parts before painting and lay a primer over them.
This is a set of photo-etched parts, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
