Quinta Studio 1:48 F/A-18C early is a set of colored 3D interior decals on decal paper, cut for the kit from Hobby Boss. It is the smaller version of the set and an accessory to a model, not a kit.

A set of colored 3D decals for detailing the cockpit of the single-seat Hornet of the C version in its early form. The features are printed in layers straight onto decal paper, have relief and finished colors, and are applied to a model as a decal. This set is the smaller version, and the full version is a separate item. The set is cut for the kit from Hobby Boss in 1:48 scale; Quinta has the same version of the aircraft worked up for the kits of other manufacturers too, so the target kit is a distinguishing detail. The model is not included in the package.
The F/A-18C is the single-seat version of the Hornet which followed on from the original A version and brought further equipment. The early machines of this version differ from the later ones in the layout of the cockpit — which is why makers of detail sets tell the early and the late form apart and offer them separately. The Hornet is a twin-engine carrier aircraft able to carry out fighter and attack tasks alike, with a pair of canted vertical tails and pronounced leading-edge extensions at the wing root.
Paint the interior and let it dry through thoroughly. A decal needs a smooth glossy base, or air will stay under the film and the edges will show up as white silvering — so go over the surface with gloss varnish. Cut the features out one at a time, soak them for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and carry them with a brush or soft tweezers. Use neither softener nor setting solution with this range; their chemistry attacks the printed resin and ruins the feature. Lukewarm water alone will do, and press the feature down with a cotton bud; it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the glossy varnish. Go over the interior with matte varnish at the end.
