Omask 1:48 Fw 190 A-2/3/4 is a set of pre-cut masking templates for models of the early radial-engined versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks for models of the early versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in 1:48 scale, specifically for the A-2, A-3 and A-4 subversions. These three versions share the same shape of canopy, so one sheet covers them together. The cut matches one particular Eduard kit.
The A-2 to A-4 versions were an earlier production release of the fighter with the BMW 801 radial engine, before the later changes to the armament and the fuselage. On a model you can tell them by the shorter fuselage and the simpler arrangement of the canopy frames. That is exactly why a set cut precisely for this type of canopy pays off - masks cut from tape by eye are, with narrow frames, almost always a little wider than they should be, and the framing then looks stocky.
The safest procedure is to stick the masks on, spray the frames with the cockpit color, then lay the base layer of the lower surface, the camouflage and finally the clear coat. Remove the mask only after clear coating, but not after a long wait - fresh clear separates from the edge cleanly. If the mask does leave a step behind, go over the edge with a fine abrasive pad and polish it. If you are spraying camouflage with soft transitions, leave the mask in place the whole time so that no overspray gets into the corners of the cockpit.
The package contains masking templates only. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
