A masking set from the O-max range from the Omask brand, intended for the early versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A fighter in 1:48 scale, specifically for the A-2, A-3 and A-4 variants. With a set of prepared templates you will spray sharp and clean lines where cutting masks out by hand would mean hours of work and the risk of scratching the parts. It is enough to settle the templates on the model and spray; the result is repeatable and uniform over the whole model.
The target kit is the Eduard one; it is bought separately.
The Fw 190 entered the fighting in the summer of 1941 and immediately gained superiority over the opponents of the time. The early A-2 to A-4 versions were powered by the BMW 801 radial engine and became famous in duels over the English Channel and in supporting operations on the eastern front. The individual variants differed mainly in the execution of the engine and in small details of the armament, and to the eye they are very close to one another, which is why one masking set covers all three. The compact airframe with its wide landing gear and massive nose makes the early Fw 190 a rewarding modeling subject.
German camouflages with sharply divided fields of RLM shades positively call for masking. Combine the templates of the set with your own masks for the fields of the camouflage and you will achieve a uniform, sharp character over the whole model. Spray the paints in thin layers and let the surface dry out between shades.
