Pre-cut masks for the canopy of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:48 scale. They cover the sliding canopy from the outside and the inside and add masks for the national insignia and decals. Worked out for Hasegawa plastic.

The A-8 Anton was the most widespread form of the whole Fw 190A series. It was built from 1944 in tens of thousands of examples, received an internal tank for a boost mixture behind the cockpit and carried heavy armament and additional armor against four-engine formations. It was on this version that it showed in full how well Kurt Tank's fuselage was prepared for the constant adding of weight.
Unlike the Messerschmitt, the Focke-Wulf has no hood that swings to the side. Its raised clear shell runs back on rails and in an emergency it was blown off by cartridges. The shape is therefore continuous and its framing runs along the whole length, so masking proceeds in one sweep from the windscreen to behind the headrest. On the A-8 the windscreen is also covered by a thick armored panel, which is worth bringing out under the mask by a different thickness of paint.
When the sliding part is glued in the open position, it pays to spray both of its sides separately and join it to the fuselage only at the very end. The straight guide rail under the canopy soils easily and painting over it later without damaging the clear part is next to impossible. The armored panel at the front can on the other hand be brought out by a thin gloss layer, which imitates the different material of the glass.
