Eduard 1:48 Fw 190A-8 SPACE is a set of 3D printed color decals for the cockpit of the German fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model in 1:48 scale.

A set from the SPACE line by the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the cockpit of the single-engine Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:48 scale. SPACE parts are printed in color with relief on a decal carrier and are applied straight onto the plastic parts of the kit; the line is usually rounded out with pre-painted steel belts. Against photo-etch the advantage is that the color and the raised detail come in one step and painting the tiny dials falls away.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German single-engine fighter with a radial engine, brought into service at the start of the 1940s. The A-8 version was the most numerously built variant of the A series and differed from the older machines in changes to the armament, the fuel system and the equipment. The cockpit was compact, with a sliding canopy and a clearly laid out instrument panel that stays well visible on a finished model.
The basic rule is this: do not go into the printed area with a brush. The color and the lettering are printed in a fine screen and a single stroke of opaque paint turns a legible panel into a smudge. If once dry you see a light edge of carrier film, do not cover it with paint over the whole part but thinly outline the edge alone with a very fine brush in the shade of the surrounding plastic. Most such transitions, though, are reliably hidden by the final thin matte coat, so it pays to leave touch-ups until after the matting and to make only those that are still visible then. Any scuffed spot can be adjusted with tempera or acrylic paint thinned almost into a wash, not with an opaque spray.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
