A resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set contains faithfully cast control surfaces of the Gloster Gladiator fighter, which can be fitted deflected on the model and so bring a static build to life. The set is made for kits of this aircraft in 1:48 scale and takes the detail beyond the level of the plastic from the box.
The Gloster Gladiator was a British single-seat biplane fighter and the last biplane in Royal Air Force service. Although more modern monoplanes quickly replaced it at the start of the Second World War, it took part in a number of early actions and made its name for a tenacious defense under difficult conditions.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and rid them of any mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and level the surfaces; wear a respirator while sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Lay down a primer before painting.
