A masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the Gotha Go 242B cargo glider in 1:48 scale. The designation TFace says that the set covers the glazing from both sides: the pieces are prepared for the outer and the inner surface alike. On a type with an extensively glazed cockpit front that makes sense, as the frames are in view from the outside and through the glazing from within. This is an accessory to a kit, not a model.
The Gotha Go 242 was a German transport glider of the period of the Second World War. In its design it was a high-wing monoplane with a pair of tail booms and with a fuselage adapted for loading cargo or the people being carried through the rear. In the air it was towed behind a powered aircraft. The B version differed from the first series in the design of its landing gear. The glazed front part of the cockpit forms a striking assembly on the model, with a large number of frames.
Wash and degrease the glazing, then let it dry. Lift the masks out of the sheet with tweezers, settle them dry and press the edge down with a blunt point. On broken-up glazing work section by section and keep checking that the masks do not overlap. Paint the inner side with the interior shade first, then the outside. Thin coats give a cleaner edge than one heavy application.
The package holds the masks alone. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it.
