A masking set in 1:48 scale for a kit of the Grumman F4F-3 carrier fighter in the Weekend boxing. The templates are cut to fit the parts of the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The masking templates cover the areas that are to stay free of paint, above all the cockpit glazing. Thanks to them the frames come out with a sharp edge and the clear part stays transparent, which on the Grumman F4F-3 carrier fighter, known by the name Wildcat, decides the whole impression of the model. Cutting tape by hand falls away and the build is shortened by the slowest part of the preparation.
Templates for 1:48 scale, shaped to the parts of a particular kit of this type in the Weekend boxing. The exact list of templates and their placement is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so compare it with your own kit before buying.
Wash and degrease the clear part first; a template does not hold on a greasy surface. Lift the individual pieces off the backing with pointed tweezers and lay them exactly on the edge of the frame, then press the edges down carefully with a toothpick so that paint does not run under them. Apply the paint in several thin coats; one heavy coat piles up at the edge and the edge blurs. Take the template off shortly after the paint has dried; on matured finish it peels with difficulty and may pull the coat away.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
