Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for models of the Chinese Guizhou JL-9 trainer and light combat aircraft, which in its export form is offered under the designation FTC-2000. It is a relatively rare subject for which decals outside the box are hard to find. The particular machines and their belonging are given by the manufacturer on the packaging of the sheet.
The JL-9 is a supersonic two-seat trainer and light combat aircraft intended for the advanced training of combat aircraft pilots. It proceeds from a design line derived from earlier Chinese two-seat machines, but it was given a reworked nose with lateral air intakes, a new canopy with a good view from both places and modernized avionics. The export version FTC-2000 is offered with the possibility of carrying armament on external racks as well. The finishes range from gray operational schemes to the more striking combinations used with training units.
On trainer and light combat machines a large part of the markings consists of small technical lettering. In 1:48 scale these are exceptionally fine, so cut them out close to the printing and work with tweezers with smooth jaws, so that the film is not cut through. Carry the smallest lettering one piece at a time and slide it with a wet brush by the edge of the backing, not by the printing itself. It pays to work over a light surface, on which the almost transparent pieces are visible. If a small decal lifts, press it down with a cotton swab and let it finish drying without sliding it again.
This is a standalone decal sheet. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
