A resin set of control surfaces from the Czech maker Aires. It replaces the moving surfaces of a Hawker Hurricane model, as a rule the ailerons, the elevators and the rudder, with more accurate castings that faithfully render the rib structure and the fabric covering. It also makes it possible to set them at a dynamic angle. It is an accessory for more experienced modelers for a model in 1:48 scale.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter of the Second World War which, together with the Spitfire, played a decisive part in the Battle of Britain. Its control surfaces followed a design with a metal frame and fabric covering, which showed on the surface as a characteristic ribbed appearance.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; the details are best brought out by building up layers with a fine brush, and the larger surfaces with an airbrush. Once cut off, dry-fit the surface castings and set the deflection angle before you glue them permanently.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
