Art Scale 1:48 Hawker Hurricane Mk.I / Mk.IIc double-sided express fit mask is a double-sided masking set for the glazing of a model of the British fighter from the Hobby Boss kit in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Art Scale masking set for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I and Mk.IIc kits from Hobby Boss in 1:48 scale. Both versions have the canopy laid out the same way, so one set covers both. The double-sided designation means that the masks are prepared for both sides of the glazing, that is for the view into the cockpit as well.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry, carry the individual pieces with tweezers and press them down above all at the edges of the frames. Spray the paint in several thin coats, so that it does not run under the edge. With a double-sided set the inner side is usually sprayed in the interior color first and only then the outer side in the camouflage color. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried.
In the Battle of Britain the Hawker Hurricane was the most numerous fighter of the RAF and shot down more enemy machines than the more celebrated Spitfire. The Mk.I version carried eight machine guns in the wing, while the later Mk.IIc was armed with four 20 mm cannons and came into its own as a fighter-bomber and a night fighter as well. The structure with a tube frame and partly fabric covering was easy to repair under field conditions.
This is a masking accessory for painting a model and is sold separately. Neither paints nor the target model are included in the package.
