An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIA fighter in 1:48 scale from the Polish manufacturer Hobby 2000. The set uses the proven Hasegawa injection mold and completes it with a quality decal sheet of its own carrying selected schemes. It thus combines a fine surface and an accurate build with attractive marking options.
Together with the Spitfire, the Hawker Hurricane was the backbone of the British fighter defense during the Battle of Britain. The Mk.II version brought a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine. The Mk.IIA form carried eight machine guns in the wing and represented a transitional variant before the more heavily armed versions. The Hurricane stood out for its sturdy structure and the ease of repairing it.
Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Glue the parts with a thin plastic cement and the clear canopy with an adhesive for canopies. The British Day Fighter camouflage schemes, with camouflage shades above and a light undersurface, come into their own with an airbrush, a gloss varnish under the decals and a fine wash into the panel lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
