Photo-etched parts for the model of the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that in 1940 made up the largest part of the Royal Air Force fighter force by numbers. In its design it still came out of the older school: the fuselage frame was built of steel tubes and the rear of the airframe stayed fabric covered, which was easy to repair in field conditions. The Mk.IIc version carried four 20 mm cannons in the wing instead of the earlier machine guns and was used against ground targets as well.
Photo-etched parts of thin sheet metal for the model of the Hurricane Mk.IIc in 1:48 scale. Metal holds its shape even at a thickness that injected plastic cannot reach, so it suits grilles, belts, plates, straps and similar small items. What exactly the fret carries and which kit it is cut for is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work on a hard smooth surface and separate the parts with a sharp blade pressed from above, not by twisting. Make the bends over a straight edge or in a photo-etch bending tool and finish them on the first try, because repeated bending cracks the metal. Degrease the surfaces before gluing; grease from your fingers stays on metal surprisingly long. Set small parts on a drop of cyanoacrylate glue, larger areas rather on two-part epoxy, where the position can still be adjusted. Lay the paint on over a primer, or it will rub off at the first handling.
The set is for modelers who want finer detail on the Hurricane than plastic allows and who have tweezers and a sharp blade at hand. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
