Painting masks He 51B.1 1:48 (Eduard)

This is not a kit but a set of painting (masking) masks from Eduard in 1:48 scale. The masks are precisely die-cut from yellow kabuki paper (Japanese masking paper) and are self-adhesive. They serve for a clean spray of the wheels, the national markings and other features of the German He 51B.1 biplane fighter. On a biplane the masks come into their own mainly on the wheels and the national markings. The model itself is obtained separately and is not included in the package.

The real subject

The Heinkel He 51 was a German single-seat biplane fighter of the early 1930s. Among other things, the B.1 version was deployed in the colors of the Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War.

Use

• You lay the mask on the appropriate place on the model and mask off the surroundings.
• You spray the paint over the mask, and once it is peeled off sharp transitions remain.
• Suitable above all for the canopy frames and for the wheels.
• It is used on a dried base coat of the model.
