A set of self-adhesive New Ware painting masks for spraying one stripe on Mk.82 bombs for models of the A-6 and the A-7 in 1:48 scale. Precise laser-cut masks.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set holds precise self-adhesive New Ware painting masks intended for spraying one identification stripe on miniature Mk.82 bombs of the kind the A-6 Intruder and A-7 Corsair II attack aircraft carried, in 1:48 scale. This is not a model but an aid to painting aerial armament faithfully. The masks are laser-cut out of fine washi (rice paper) tape, they copy the cylindrical body of the bomb precisely and come off with no adhesive residue once sprayed.
The Mk.82 is a low-drag general-purpose aerial bomb of a weight of around 227 kilograms from the Mark 80 series. The Grumman A-6 Intruder and the LTV A-7 Corsair II were American carrier attack aircraft which commonly carried this bomb. The colored identification stripe on the body distinguishes the kind and the state of the munition; the form with one stripe corresponds to one particular marking.
First spray the bomb with the base color and let it dry. Transfer the mask carefully, press it down along the edges and spray over it with the color of the stripe in thin coats. Lift it off once dry. The masks are single-use.
These are painting masks, not a model. The paints, bombs and glue are not included in the package.
