A photo-etched metal accessory set for a model of the Hunter GA.11 aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Hunter belongs among the best known British jet aircraft of the 1950s. The single-seat machine with a swept wing entered the armament of a number of countries and its service stretched over decades. The GA.11 version served with the Fleet Air Arm, came about by modifying older production machines and was used mainly for training, so a different equipment fit and different color schemes go with it than with the fighter versions.
The set brings photo-etched metal parts for detailing a model in 1:48 scale. The extent of the parts, their placement on the model and the recommended order of work is given in the instructions enclosed with the set. Which kit the set is cut for is given in the instructions enclosed with the set, because photo-etched parts tend to be shaped for a particular model.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and even the remains of the tab out with a file. Run the bend over a sharp edge or in a bender in one pass; repeated bending tires the metal and the part will crack at the bend. The metal parts are not polystyrene, so they are glued with super glue rather than with cement for plastic. Degrease them before gluing and painting and give them a primer intended for metal. Pick small parts up with tweezers over a mat rather than over the floor.
The set suits modelers who want to add to a model the detail that cannot be molded from plastic.
The kit of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
