Masking templates for the frame of the glazing of the Hurricane Mk.IIc in 1:48 scale in the version for the inner and the outer side. The frame then looks right from the interior too.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Dead Design set for the inner and the outer side of the glazing of the cabin of the British fighter Hurricane Mk.IIc. The frame is sprayed from both sides, so with the canopy slid back no bare clear plastic looks into the cabin. Against the basic one-sided set it is the more comprehensive variant.
The Hurricane Mk.IIc was the cannon version of the type and in its armament it carried four 20 mm cannons in the wing. The cabin has a sliding canopy with marked regular framing and glazing behind the pilot, so with the canopy open the frame is clearly visible from the outside and from the inside alike.
The most frequent mistake is a thick wet coat at the edge of a mask. When it happens, do not panic and above all do not start scraping wet finish. Let the paint dry thoroughly, take the mask off and scrape the overflow away carefully with the tip of a toothpick or a wooden stick guided along the frame; you will not damage the plastic with it. You will polish the rest out with a cotton swab moistened in clean water, and with more resistant paints one slightly moistened in the appropriate thinner helps, but never pour it over the clear part, it will go cloudy. Once you have cleaned the area, you can touch the frame up locally with a fine brush.
