Insulators, 1:48 is a resin set of electrical insulators for dioramas with telegraph and electricity poles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Firma49 holds miniature electrical insulators of the kind used on telegraph and electricity poles. It is not a model but a fine diorama accessory that gives a scene convincing street or railway infrastructure.
Porcelain and glass insulators carried the lines on the poles of telegraph, telephone and low-voltage networks throughout the 20th century. They are a small but telling detail that raises the realism of a diorama with civilian buildings or a railway station.
Separate the small castings from the casting blocks carefully and wash the mold release agent off. The insulators come out after spraying a white, beige or dark brown shade, according to type; a gloss overcoat imitates porcelain, a matte one ceramic or a tarred finish.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and poles are not included in the package.
