Templates for spraying the camouflage of Italian aircraft in 1:48 scale, number 1 in the range. The package holds two pieces.
Responsibility details are not available.
The camouflage of Italian aircraft became famous for the irregular blotches and rings that are hard to spray freehand: every blotch is a different size and the spacing between them cannot be judged so that it comes out even over the whole surface. A template takes that work off your hands. You lay it on the surface and spray the blotches through the cutouts, so the pattern keeps its shape and density no matter how steady your hand is.
The package holds two pieces of template for 1:48 scale; number 1 sets this one apart from the others in the range. The specific pattern and the material of the templates are given by the manufacturer in its documentation, as is the recommended way of holding them against the surface.
Use the template only on a dry base shade, never on a fresh coat. Laying it tight against the surface gives a crisper blotch edge, lifting it a little gives a softer transition; try both on cardboard first. Thin the paint more than usual and apply it in two passes, because more creeps under a heavy coat. Wipe the template between applications so that it does not transfer dried paint onto the surface.
The set suits anyone who builds Italian aircraft and wants the camouflage regular and repeatable even over several models in a row. Paints, an airbrush and the model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
