Dead Design 1:48 J8M Shusui is a set of self-adhesive die-cut masks for spraying the glazing of the cockpit of a model of the Japanese rocket fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A modeling accessory, not a kit. The package holds self-adhesive film machine die-cut to the shape of the glazed parts of a model in 1:48 scale. The masks are stuck on, sprayed over with paint and removed once dry. The cockpit frames then have sharp edges and the same width, which is practically unachievable with a hand-held brush.
The Mitsubishi J8M Shusui was a Japanese rocket-powered interceptor fighter of the end of the Second World War, deriving in design from the German tailless type. Characteristic are the entirely absent horizontal tail surfaces, the short fuselage with a teardrop cockpit canopy and landing skids in place of classic landing gear; a jettisonable wheeled dolly served only for takeoff. The type stayed at the prototype stage. The small but striking cockpit canopy is very visible on a model, so clean frames decide the final impression. The short fuselage moreover offers little other detail for the eye to rest on, which is why it pays to devote above-average care to the cockpit with this real subject.
The package holds only the masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in it.
