A plastic kit model of the German tank destroyer Jagdpanther in its late configuration in 1:48 scale from Tamiya, from the Military Miniatures range. The model captures the features of late production – the details of the casemate and the armor layout characteristic of the closing phase of production.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer built on the chassis of the Panther tank. In its low, well-armored casemate it carried a powerful long 88 mm gun, which was among the most effective anti-tank weapons of its day. The late version differed in production changes to the barrel, the hatches and the fittings; the vehicles were fielded at the close of the Second World War on both fronts.
Finish the running gear and the lower details before you close up the hull. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and give the surfaces a primer for the airbrush. German three-tone camouflage is a good choice; the patina is completed with washes, pigments for mud and dust effects and chipping on the edges with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
