1:48 Jaguar GR.1/GR.3 is a set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the Jaguar GR.1/GR.3 type. It is not a model but an accessory for painting the glazing and the wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape for a model of the SEPECAT Jaguar GR.1, or GR.3, in 1:48 scale. The masks make it easier to spray the frames of the glazed cockpit and the wheel discs cleanly, without laborious cutting. It is not a kit — it is an accessory used while painting a finished or part-built model. Eduard is a Czech maker of modeling accessories.
The SEPECAT Jaguar was an Anglo-French twin-engined ground-attack aircraft intended for strikes against ground targets and for tactical reconnaissance. The GR.1 version served with the Royal Air Force, while the modernized GR.3 was given improved avionics. The aircraft was notable for its ability to operate from improvised strips.
The pre-cut masks in self-adhesive kabuki tape are stuck onto the cockpit glazing and onto the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved lines of the frames with a pointed wooden stick, and then the area is sprayed. Once the paint has dried the tape is lifted off and the framing stays clean and crisp. An airbrush gives an even coat. The masks help with the framing of the long narrow canopy too.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
