A photo-etched set of accessories for the model of the German Ju 87B-1 dive bomber in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Junkers Ju 87 is a German dive bomber that became one of the most striking aircraft of the Second World War. You will recognize it at first glance by its inverted gull wing and the fixed landing gear in aerodynamic fairings, that is by shapes that came out of reasons of strength and operation and not of aesthetics. Under the wing it had dive brakes, which during a dive held the speed within limits that the crew and the airframe could bear. The crew was made up of the pilot and the gunner sitting behind him. The B-1 version was among the early production renderings.
Photo-etched metal parts in 1:48 scale intended to fill out the model of this aircraft. Thin sheet allows a finer drawing and crisper edges than a plastic part at this scale will bear. The make-up of the parts and where they go is described in the instructions from the manufacturer of the set.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers. Lead the bends in a bending tool or against the edge of a ruler, always along the whole length at once. Use super glue in a tiny amount for the gluing; glue for polystyrene does not suit metal. Degrease the surface before painting and lay on a primer, so that the paint holds even after handling.
For modelers of the aircraft of the Second World War who want to take a model beyond the level of the contents of the box. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
