Eduard masks Ju 87D/G Stuka 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the German Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for the plastic model of the German Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber in the D and G versions. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka is a German two-seat dive bomber of the Second World War with a characteristic cranked wing and fixed landing gear. The D version was aerodynamically cleaned up and more powerful, while the G version carried two underwing 37 mm cannons and was used as a specialized tank buster on the Eastern Front. The cockpit with its extensive glazing is the most demanding part to mask.
Degrease the extensive cockpit glazing carefully. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them systematically onto the individual windows, pressing them into the edges. Tune the transitions and the corners with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats so that it does not seep under the edge. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
