A photo-etched accessory set for a model of the anti-tank Ju 87G-2 version in 1:48 scale. The metal parts replace shapes for which injection-molded plastic is too thick.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched metal accessory set is meant for a Ju 87G-2 model in 1:48 scale. Photo-etch is especially suited to places where sheet metal should really look like sheet metal: on covers, grilles, loops, belts and buckles. A molded part has to be a certain thickness because of the way it is made, whereas metal sheet does not, and the difference shows on a finished model even without a magnifier.
The Ju 87 is a German dive bomber of the Second World War, known by the nickname Stuka. The G-2 version was adapted to fight armored vehicles: under the wings it carried a pair of 37 mm cannon in pods and it was based on the airframe of the later production version with a longer wing. It is exactly these pods that make it look like a different aircraft from the ordinary bomber Stuka at first glance.
Cut the parts from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface, never break them out. Level the remains of the tab with a fine file and make the bends along the marked scores, in one movement if you can. Use super glue applied a drop at a time to the edge of the part; cement for polystyrene does not hold on metal. Before painting, degrease the surfaces and go over them with a primer. Which parts replace which components of the kit is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
