The masks make it easy to spray the frames of the glazed cockpit and the wheel hubs cleanly, without laborious cutting. This is not a kit — it is an accessory used while painting a finished or part-built model.
The Junkers Ju 88 was among the most versatile German combat aircraft of the Second World War. The A-4 version was a widespread bomber configuration with two inverted V12 Jumo engines and a glazed nose housing the crew stations. The machine was used as a level bomber and as a dive bomber on many fronts.
The pre-cut self-adhesive kabuki tape masks are stuck onto the canopy glazing and the wheel hubs, pressed into the engraved lines of the frames with a pointed stick, and then the area is sprayed. Once the paint has dried the tape is taken off and the framing stays clean and sharp. An airbrush gives an even coat; the masks can also be used for two-color camouflage masking.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package and are bought separately.
