A heavy fighter out of a bomber

The Ju 88C came about by converting the Ju 88 bomber into a heavy and night fighter. The glazed nose gave way to a solid tip with fixed forward-firing armament, so the silhouette of the aircraft changed at first glance. The C-6 version was the most numerous and was used against Allied formations, over the Bay of Biscay and in the night defense of the territory of the Reich. For a modeler it is an attractive counterpoint to the classic bomber Ju 88.

A procedure that has proved itself

• Wash the clear moldings in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent before painting.
• Settle each template separately and exactly against the engraved frame.
• Apply the interior shade before the upper camouflage layer.
• Avoid a heavy coat, as a visible step would form at the edge.
• Once they are off, look at the glazing against the light and remove any smears.
