A set of water-slide decals in 1:48 scale from AIMS. The collection covers several versions of the German multi-role Junkers Ju-188 at once - the A-2, D-2, E-1 and F-1 - and so offers a number of variants of national insignia, codes and unit markings on a single sheet. It is not a kit but a decal accessory for finishing a plastic model.
The Junkers Ju-188 was the more capable development of the Ju-88 bomber, with a characteristically reworked nose and enlarged tail surfaces. It served in the Second World War as a bomber and as a reconnaissance aircraft; the versions differed in their engines and equipment, from bomber machines to long-range photo-reconnaissance variants. German camouflage schemes and unit markings of that era are among the favorite subjects of aircraft modelers.
Apply the decals to a smooth, glossy and degreased surface. After releasing them in water, settle them with a decal softener so that they bed into the engraved lines and riveting, and finally seal them with a matte varnish that evens out the surface. The individual machines and color schemes are described in the enclosed instructions.
This is a decal set, not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
