Art Scale 1:48 Ki-21-Ia Sally one-sided express fit mask is a single-sided masking set for the glazing of a model of the Japanese bomber Mitsubishi Ki-21 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An Art Scale masking set for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi Ki-21-Ia bomber with the Allied code name Sally in 1:48 scale. The one-sided finish deals with one side of the glazing and is the quicker choice for a build in which the inner side of the frames will not be visible.
Degrease the glass and let it dry out completely, otherwise the mask will not adhere. Carry the individual pieces with tweezers and press them down all the way round, best with a toothpick. Apply the paint in several thin coats, because what gets under the edge of a mask is chiefly a heavy wet coat. Take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried and pull it at an angle away from the frame.
The Mitsubishi Ki-21 was the main heavy bomber of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force, and in the opening years of the war the Japanese deployed it from China all the way to Southeast Asia. The Ki-21-Ia was one of the earliest production versions. The model has extensive glazing including the characteristic glazed nose and several gun stations, so masking the frames takes substantially more time than on a single-seat aircraft.
This is a masking accessory for painting a model and is sold separately. Neither paints nor the target model are included in the package.
