Omask 1:48 L-29 Delfin — Wheel Bay Plugs (for AMK / Eduard) are shaped foam inserts that slot into the model's wheel bays before spraying and prevent paint from getting inside. It is not a kit — the L-29 model is not included in the package.

A set of flexible foam plugs from the Czech brand Omask, shaped to fit the wheel bays of the L-29 Delfin model in 1:48 scale from the AMK molds, also sold under the Eduard brand. The plug simply slots into the open bay, fills it, and comes back out once spraying is done. It needs no glue or tape and leaves no residue in the bay.
This is not a model or a fuselage-building accessory — it is a painting aid. The L-29 kit itself is not included in the package.
A wheel bay is deep, intricate, and its interior is a different color from the aircraft's exterior. If overspray gets in there while spraying the camouflage, it is practically impossible to fix — you cannot reach a brush into the nooks between the ribs and hydraulics, and masking every corner with paper tape takes hours. A foam plug solves this problem in one motion.
The plugs are shaped for a specific bay size, so the 1:48 version fits only a 1:48 model. If you are building the smaller Delfin, look for the version made for 1:72 scale — Omask offers it as a separate product, also for AMK / Eduard kits.
For anyone building the 1:48 L-29 who does not want to risk overspray in the bays. This home-grown legend — a Czechoslovak jet trainer on which generations of pilots across the whole Eastern Bloc learned to fly — deserves clean work, and this small accessory makes it noticeably easier.
