The set brings a complete colored cockpit interior printed by 3D technology on decal paper for a model of the Soviet Lavochkin La-11 fighter in 1:48 scale. The parts are multi-layered, so unlike flat decals they look three-dimensional; the instrument panel, the side consoles, the controls and the seat belts are already finished in color and ready to be applied.
The individual elements are applied much like wet decals: they are released from the paper in water and transferred into place, and with the thicker parts it is worth tacking them down with a spot of super glue. Nothing has to be cut out of photo-etch or folded, and painting the interior falls away. The one thing you do without is a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin.
A realistic, practically factory-finished cockpit interior with legible dials and the texture of the belts. The La-11 was the last Soviet long-range piston fighter, used also in the early stages of the Korean War; thanks to the set its cockpit gains full detail without laborious painting.
This is an accessory: the kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
