The SPACE set offers color 3D decals for quick and faithful detailing of the cockpit interior of the Avro Lancaster B Mk. I heavy bomber in 1:48 scale. Raised printed decals of the instrument panels are completed with color photo-etched seat belts, so you can create a realistic cockpit even without painting small details.

The real subject

The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine night bomber of the Second World War. It was powered by Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and made its name with a large bomb load as well as with its part in the best known raids of the RAF. The roomy cockpit makes the interior a rewarding target for detailing.

Application

• The parts have no adhesive layer of their own: with a damp sponge and a drop of detergent moisten only the backing paper beneath the part.
• Lift the released part off with tweezers and settle it onto a clean degreased surface; do not immerse the sheet in water.
• Fix it with white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate.
• Do not use decal softener, as it would damage the printed resin and the detail would dissolve.

For modelers who want to lift the interior of the Lancaster quickly and with a minimum of painting work.

This is not a kit but an add-on set of decals. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
