A civilian figure of a woman with a child in her arms in 1:48 scale from Dynamo-Models. An accessory for a diorama in which ordinary people appear alongside the vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Alongside military figures Dynamo-Models also offers civilian ones that give a scene a story. This item is among them - the name gives the mother of a little boy with a child in her arms. Scale 1:48 matches the usual models of aircraft and of military vehicles in the same scale, so you can set the figure into a scene without recalculating the size.
Civilians are among the most effective means of bringing a diorama to life. A viewer notices the action first and only then the machine in the middle of it. A woman with a child works on a village road, by the wall of a house, on a railway platform and in a scene where ordinary life is returning to normal. It pays off to think out where the figure is looking - the direction of the gaze leads the viewer's eye and links the figure with the rest of the view.
With figures in 1:48 it is contrast that counts, not the amount of detail. Build the face on a base skin tone, shade the eye sockets and the area under the chin gently and on the other hand lighten the forehead, the nose and the cheekbones. Civilian clothing holds together with a muted palette - gray, brown, dark blue - complemented by one more saturated accent, for instance a scarf or a child's cap. Apply the paint in thin layers; a thick layer floods the fine relief. Adapt the cleaning and the preparation of the surface to the material of the particular casting.
