It focuses on technical stencils, that is, on the small service, operating and warning markings that on the real machine accompany filler ports, covers, access panels and moving surfaces. A sheet like this is used as an addition to the basic markings: the model gains the scale density of detail that kit decals usually do not cover. The exact extent of the sheet is shown by the illustration on the packaging.
The Lockheed F-117A was a single-seat subsonic attack aircraft of American manufacture, built around surfaces broken into facets that reduced the reflection of radar signals. It was powered by two turbojets with flat exhausts, carried its armament solely in a fuselage weapons bay and had a matte black finish. The machine was operated by the US Air Force and was withdrawn from active service in 2008. It is precisely the unbroken dark surface without strong color division that makes the technical stencils the main source of visual detail on the model.
There are many stencils and they are small, so work in sections: finish one surface, let it dry and only then carry on. Carry the decals with pointed tweezers and adjust them with a damp soft brush, not with your finger. On a deeply dark surface, first test on an offcut how well the light print covers, because on a black area a weaker print is easily lost. Polish the surface under the decals with gloss clear at least where the stencil will go, otherwise the small film will silver. A drop of decal softener helps them flow into the engraved lines. Choose a matte final clear coat to match the character of the real surface.
Decals are a modeling accessory. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
