1:48 Lockheed F-35B seatbelts STEEL is a separate photo-etched set of seat belts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. The belts are made of steel and pre-painted in color, intended for an F-35B model in 1:48 scale.

It is a narrowly aimed accessory, not a kit nor a complete cockpit set. The contents are only the seat belts of the ejection seat, etched from steel and printed in color. Steel differs from ordinary brass photo-etched metal in that it holds its shape after bending, so the belts can be convincingly draped over the edge of the seat or left lying loose in the pan. It is precisely a loose belt, not unnaturally stiffened, that catches the eye at once with an open cockpit.
The Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning II is a single-engined fifth-generation combat aircraft in the version with a short takeoff and vertical landing, with a swiveling nozzle and a lift fan behind the cockpit. The pilot sits on an ejection seat with a multi-point restraint system; on models in 1:48 scale the seat is one of the few elements of the cockpit that really are clearly visible from outside.
Working with photo-etched metal. Cut the belts off the fret with a scalpel on a hard surface. Steel is firmer than brass, so use tweezers with smooth jaws or a bending tool for the bend and shape the belt gradually, not in one sharp bend. They are glued with a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue, ideally the gel kind. Do not use aggressive thinners on the color printing. You will achieve a natural look by seating the belts on the seat first and shaping their run only after that.
The set holds seat belts only; it is not a model nor a complete cockpit set. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
