A photo-etched set for a model of the F-16C fighter in the Block 42 form, 1:48 scale. An accessory for a kit that has to be obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-16C is an American single-seat multirole fighter, recognizable at first glance by its bubble canopy with a view in every direction and by the air intake set under the fuselage. The designation Block 42 belongs to one of the production forms the aircraft went through in the course of manufacture; the individual forms differ in equipment and in small features on the airframe, so it pays to compare the model with photographs of the particular aircraft.
Photo-etched parts in thin metal sheet for an F-16C model in 1:48 scale. Metal replaces items that cannot be molded in plastic in a matching thickness and gives them sharp edges. The extent of the fret, the placing of the individual parts and which kit parts have to be modified first are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the remaining tab flat. Use a bending tool or the edge of a steel rule for bending, and the bend will then hold its shape. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin rather than straight from the tube, or the glue will swamp the pattern. Wash, degrease and prime the sheet before painting. On the model, dry-fit the part first to see whether it seats; a photo-etched item often calls for a little plastic to be taken away underneath so that it does not stand above the surface.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
