The set 1:48 Lockheed-Martin F-35B LööKplus SPACE is an Eduard accessory for a model of the combat aircraft F-35B Lightning II in 1:48 scale. The LööKplus line joins a pre-painted instrument panel produced by printing with further elements of the interior in the form of 3D decals of the SPACE line. It is not a kit: the set contains accessories for the cockpit, and the model of the aircraft itself has to be obtained separately. The particular extent of the package differs between the individual editions; check it on the packaging.
The F-35B Lightning II is the variant of the fifth-generation combat aircraft adapted for a short takeoff and a vertical landing. In this generation the cockpit is arranged differently than in older aircraft: a large touch panel replaced the classic analog instruments, so the instrument panel is exactly the detail that on a model gives away at once how modern a machine it is. Under a raised canopy it is moreover clearly visible, which makes accessories for the cockpit a sensible investment on this type.
You no longer have to paint the pre-painted parts, so protect them against fingerprints and against thinners. First sand the surfaces of the model where the details are seated down level and degrease them. The 3D decals are not self-adhesive: moisten the backing paper, release the element with tweezers or with a wooden stick with a moistened tip, fix it with PVA glue and press it down with a soft tool, so that the surface is not damaged. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage. If you want to unify the result, spray the finished interior over with a fine matte varnish, but keep the gloss surfaces of the instruments.
The set is supplied as an accessory to a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
