Eduard 1:48 M6A1 Seiran is a photo-etched detail set for refining models of the Japanese submarine-launched bomber floatplane Aichi M6A Seiran. It is not a model but a metal accessory for a kit under construction.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings fine photo-etched metal parts for refining plastic models of the Aichi M6A1 Seiran aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit - it is an accessory meant to be built into a base kit already under construction. The photo-etched parts refine above all the cockpit and the interior: the instrument panel, side panels, seat belts and other fine elements.
The Aichi M6A Seiran was a Japanese two-seat attack floatplane of the end of the Second World War. It was designed to be launched from the large I-400 class submarines, which carried it in a watertight hangar; that is why its wings folded. The purpose was to send bombers on surprise strikes against distant strategic targets, and the Panama Canal was among those considered. The machine practically never saw combat.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them in a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Painting and a fine wash bring the details to the fore.
This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
