1:48 Mask Convair B-58 Hustler EXPERT (REV/MONO)

New Ware masking set - Convair B-58 Hustler, 1:48 (the EXPERT level)

The most complete variant of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of fine kabuki (washi) tape from the Czech manufacturer New Ware, intended for large plastic models of the American Convair B-58 Hustler supersonic bomber in 1:48 scale. The set makes faithful multicolor painting of the glazing and of the small details possible.

What the EXPERT level contains

The EXPERT level is the most comprehensive stage. Besides the outer surfaces of the glazing it also includes masks for the inside of the cockpit, the seals of the frames, the landing gear wheels and further small details for maximum accuracy.

The real subject

The Convair B-58 Hustler was the first American supersonic strategic bomber with a delta wing, capable of around twice the speed of sound. Under the fuselage it carried a large jettisonable pod combining fuel and the weapons load. It served Strategic Air Command during the Cold War.

Use and tips

• Apply the masks for the inner surfaces before the glazing is closed up.
• In the larger 1:48 scale the detail masks are comfortable to place.
• Once painted, take the masks off carefully and in good time.

Who the set is for

• Advanced modelers who are demanding about fidelity of detail.
• Builders of large models in 1:48 scale.
• Anyone interested in Cold War aircraft.

This is an accessory for masking, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
