A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks of Japanese kabuki paper tape from the Czech brand New Ware. It is not a kit: it is an accessory for painting a model of the German Do 217N-1 night fighter in 1:48 scale. The set is cut for the ICM 48271 kit.
The Do 217N-1 was the night fighter variant of the Do 217 bomber: the nose received gun armament and radar antennas, but the cabin kept its extensive many-piece glazing. That is exactly where dozens of small panes await the modeler, and masking them by hand is slow and prone to mistakes. Cut masks in the EXPERT range shorten that work to a minimum: every pane has its own mask, and the edges of the frames come out sharp and consistent over the whole cabin.
Night fighters wore dark, flat finishes, and on black or dark gray paint every place where paint has bled under shows, so press the edges of the masks down carefully and spray in several dry coats. Spray the frames first in the interior color so that they look convincing from inside the cabin, and only then in the external camouflage. Lift the masks off with tweezers at a sharp angle.
This is a masking accessory for painting; the aircraft kit itself is not included in the package.
