Matylda, a resin figure of a dog in 1:48 scale from Firma49

A small resin figure of a dog named Matylda in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Firma49. The accessory is intended to bring dioramas, scenes with vehicles and figure settings to life. It is supplied as an unpainted casting; in 1:48 scale it is smaller than the 1:35 variant and larger than the 1:72 one.

Use and working

  • First wash the casting free of mold release agent residue
  • Cut off the casting gates and blocks and clean the surfaces up
  • Glue it with cyanoacrylate
  • Lay down a primer before painting, paint with a brush and pick the fur out with glazes and a dry brush

Who it is for

For diorama builders and collectors who want to add a living detail in the form of a dog to a scene. Suitable for more advanced modelers used to working with resin.

This is an accessory, not a model of a vehicle or an aircraft. Do not inhale resin dust, protect your airways when sanding and work in a well-ventilated room.
